Rosneft to explore Severo-Sakhalinsky shelf field in 2023–2027
MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft plans to explore the Severo-Sakhalinsky field on the continental shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk in 2023–2027, according to the documents seen by PRIME on Friday.
"All-encompassing sea exploration works are planned on the licensed field during the navigation periods of 2023–2027," the documents read.
The company acquired the field in April 2021 from the government without auction.
Prospective D1 gas reserves amount to 396 billion cubic meters (bcm), forecasted D2 reserves to 33.2 bcm. Recoverable D1 resources of oil are seen at 38 million tonnes and D2 resources at 3.2 million tonnes. Gas condensate D1 resources stand at 19.3 million tonnes and D2 resources at 1.6 million tonnes.
